Telecom Italia will not bid for Vivendi’s GVT subsidiary in Brazil as it prepares to reject an offer of a capital increase from Egyptian tycoon Naguib Sawiris, Il Sole 24 Ore said on Wednesday.
“Telecom (Italia) has given up the idea of presenting a non-binding offer (for GVT),” the newspaper said without citing sources.

Brazilian homebuilder Gafisa SA said on Tuesday that its low-income unit Tenda had approved a share buyback plan for up to 10 million common shares of Gafisa, worth nearly 39 million reais ($19 million), at Tuesday’s closing price.
Earlier this month, Gafisa said it was calling off new Tenda projects slated for this year due to problems with clients’ credit risk.

Milão – A Telecom Italia não fará uma oferta pela GVT, da Vivendi, já que se prepara para rejeitar o aumento de capital que o empresário egípcio Naguib Sawiris propôs, afirmou nesta quarta-feira o jornal Il Sole 24, sem citar fontes.
A controladora da TIM Participações não estava imediatamente disponível para comentar se está ou não se preparando para rejeitar a proposta de aumento de capital.

O conselheiro Rodrigo Zerbone foi designado para relatar o caso, em sorteio realizado na útima segunda, 26. Também foi sorteado, neste caso para o conselheiro Marcus Paolucci, um processo de extinção da Unicel. Segundo apurou este noticiário, trata-se do processo aberto em função do não pagamento da licença adquirida em lelião.

MILÃO – A fabricante italiana de máquinas e caminhões Fiat Industrial anunciou ter chegado a um acordo definitivo de fusão com a companhia de maquinário agrícola e de construção norte-americana CNH Global. A Fiat Industrial, que já detém cerca de 88% das ações da CNH, vai adquirir os 12% restantes em um negócio de cerca de US$ 1,48 bilhão. Com isso, a empresa pretende ter listagem em bolsa nos Estados Unidos e uma estrutura corporativa mais simples.
